COVID-19 Lockdown: AMORAN Urges Members To Obey Government Directives

The Articulated Motorcycle and Riders Association of Nigeria, (AMORAN), Ogun State chapter, has urged its members across the state to obey government’s new directives on transportation during the lockdown window in the state.

Motorcycle riders are therefore enjoined to carry one passenger at a time. It is also essential that Motorcycle operators do not only wear face masks, but ensure their passengers wear same.

It is imperative to note that failure to comply with these directives will lead to the confiscation of the Okada.

AMORAN is known for being law-abiding, and as such would continue to support all Government’s efforts, policies and steps toward curbing further spread of the pandemic.

“The message we have for members is to continue to support the Government and obey the rules and regulations, especially these new directives of government as we believe they are intended to ultimately flatten the Coronavirus curve."

“It is when we are alive that we can work and make money. “We will like all members to obey Government’s directives on lockdown." He stated.

In the meantime, AMORAN wishes to specially acknowledge and appreciate the novel ideas and efforts of His Excellency  Prince Dapo Abiodun in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. His efforts, alongside that of other critical stakeholders in the administration of have been instrumental in containing the spread of the global pandemic in the state.

This is evidenced in the relatively low number of Covid-19 cases recorded thus far in the state. We say kudos to the Governor, in the hope that we would all march on to victory in the fight against the Disease.

Signed
Otunba Taofeek Sokoya
