NAPS Appraise Ekiti,Ogun,Osun And Ondo State Governors On Rapid Intervention Towards Curbing And Preventing The Spread Of COVID-19




        If every conceivable precaution is taken at first, one is often too discouraged to proceed at all.

        The leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students under the watch of active president His Excellency Comr. Olasunkanmi Ijaduoye commend EKITI, Ogun and Ondo State Governments for their proactive methods put in place to contain the outbreak of corona virus in their respective state since it was declared by the W.H.O as a pandemic.


        In a statement made available by the National President at a press conference held at Nigeria Union of Journalist Hall Abeokuta, The NAPS National President commended the Governor of Ogun State, Prince. Dapo Abiodun and his honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker for partnering with student bodies and other Stakeholders to prevent spreading of corona virus. Comr. Olasunkanmi Ijaduoye appreciated the Ministry who also organized an orientation seminar for the student leaders within the state on how to orientate their fellow students and parents.


        Olasunkanmi also appreciated the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for providing free shuttle for the Ekiti State students to their various homes, an initiative that has helped most of our students who should have been stranded in their various institutions.

       

        He also extended courtesy to the Governor of Ondo and Osun for being ready to partner with the students as the students remain partner in progress for a better and a promising Nigeria .

   
    
        NAPS National President also call on students and parents to stay safe from the virus which has held the globe to ransom, COVID19 is a deadly disease that we all will surmount as a race as as health remains everyone’s wealth.



        Olasunkanmi however react to the poor attitude of the Lagos State Ministry of Health who unlike its counterparts are showing no cooperation to work with the students body.

        NAPS on that note call on Lagos State Commissioner for Health to partner with students leaders and every other meaningful stakeholders to curb the further spread of the virus as Lagos state remain Center of Excellence.
