FUTA 200 LEVEL STUDENT AFUWAPE WINS MUKULUMUKE DANCE CHALLENGE




          A 200-Level student of Mechanical Engineering in the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Oyinkansola Afuwape Victor has emerged winner of the Mukulumuke Dance challenge.



          In a unanimous decision by the judges , Afuwape was declared winner after thoroughly considering varieties of things which included Skills, Dance steps , Body carriage, among others.


          Highly elated Afuwape appreciated the initiative, saying that the challenge served as a platform for passionate dancers to express thier talents and help in projecting the good works of the governor to the world via music.


          He said “thousands of young people around the country are now becoming aware of the developmental projects going on across Ogun State because of the dance challenge”.


          After receiving his cash prize for coming second in the dance challenge, Adebesin Oluwadamilola Peter said youths in Ogun State were full of talents that the government could continually tap into.


         He identified dancing as his passion and encouraged other young and passionate dancers to tap into the initiatives of Gov Abiodun for the promotion of entertainment in the state.


         Speaking shortly during the presentation, Composer of the song, Prince Hardey attributed the inspiration of the song to the human and capital development going on in Ogun State.


         He said “the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun is touching different sectors and bringing about life changing developments and such developments gave birth to the song, Mukulukuke.”


         He commended the winners and promised that more of such songs would be released in the coming months, once they are perfected.

        Presenting the cash prizes to the winners, the Special Assistant to the governor on Youth and Sports, Comrade Olamide Lawal congratulated the winners, adding that the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun is committed to touching every sector of the state with life touching and purposeful projects.”

         He added that since entertainment enriches the lives of people in a society and enhances the mental, health and general well-being of young people, the government would not hesitate in bringing about sustainable development in the entertainment sector through the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

       The Mukulumuke dance challenge which featured various dance steps from dancers within and outside Ogun State recorded huge participation from youths, is
a testification of the many achievements of Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, as Governor of the Gateway state.

        The dance challenge and the Mukulumuke musical lyrics is an initiative of Comrade Olamide Lawal, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Sports
