"Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. You are as old as your doubt, your fear, your despair. The way to keep young is to keep your faith young. Keep your self-confidence young. Keep your hope young." With this astounding affirmation by Luella, Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Youth Wing wishes the Youth of Ogun state and the world at large a 'Happy International Youth Day.'
In a press statement released to the media by the Coordinator of the great forum; Comr. Rasheed Aroboto, he beseeched the Youth of Ogun state to be more concern about their wellbeing, future and posterity, other than damaging their reputation and personality for crumbs coming from their pay master's table.
"I wish all and sundry of Ogun state a Happy international youth day and I pray we witness more of the celebration on earth. My theme for the day is for we youth to be " youthful, useful and responsible", We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices, so that we may direct their (the old) power toward good ends. He remarked.
He further stated that, "the youth must put a halt signal to 'politics of hatred' and character assassination among themselves and be more focused on the "BuildingOurFutureTogether" mantra as orchestrated the Dapo Abiodun led Adminstration. With this, the Ogun state and Nigeria we all hoped for will surely be realistic."
"We youth are known as the pillar of the society, and any of our wrong and illicit act might wreck an irrevocable havoc to the society. We should now be more concern about developing ourselves, our society, and the nation at large than waging unseen war based on political differences and uninterested ideologies.
The youthful age is the time to toil, struggle, hustle and build an undiminishable dynasty. It's also a time to learn from the older generation so as to prepare generations to come about the implications of everything we are exposed to. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY, do not forget to be youthful, useful and responsible.
