It is no more a news that the global community is still in pandemic situation and which has hindered and shaken all nooks and crannies of the society_
In couples of months while everywhere were shot down, Remo North Branch of NYCN embarked on some programmes,(offline and online). Part of it was the sensitization awareness on campaign against RAPE, online lecture during World Doctors Day e.t.c
All of these programmes had the support of their Honourable representative at the State House of Assembly in person of Hon. (Barr.) Solomon Osho. Hence, there was need for familiarization in order to achieve more.
On arrival of the Branch Executives on Thursday 9th of July, 2020 at the State House of Assembly, Oke Imosan Abeokuta, Hon. Solomon welcome the executives of Remo North Branch of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and immediately corrected an impression "Welcome to our office" because he believe his office is open to all members of his Constituency most especial the Youth Wing like that of National Youth Council.
The Branch Coordinator, Comrade Christopher Olokodana appreciated the Honourable for his support towards the campaign against rape that was held couple of weeks ago and at the same time confirmed that truly we have a better representative who usually take his time to support the Youth Council in all ramifications.
The Coordinator also proposed that the council will like to collaborate with May5 Foundation on possible projects for the youth at the Local Government level.
In his comment, he appeal that the council is looking forward to policies and programme that will add more value to the youth at large and at the same time enviable leadership that youths can emulate.
In the response of Hon. Solomon Osho, he commended the effort of the Youth Council for deaming it fit for for such familiarization visit and he's very sure more success to come.
Jokingly, he said that Remo North has been on top of the news positively because of activities of the Youth Council. Even his colleagues envy the proactiveness of the Youth Council.
He admonished the executives to always stand for what is right most especially for the growth and development of Remo North as a whole. "I am very happy and comfortable when I see youths working in the same direction with me" Hon. Solomon said.
On the request of May5 Foundation Collaboration, he said that all programmes of the foundation shall have full participation of the National Youth Council. He pleaded that the executives shouldn't hesitate to bring programme proposal which they think May5 Foundation can partner as this will go a long way.
In appreciation of Hon. Solomon's support towards Youth Development in Remo North, the executives presented a gift(Picture Pencil drawing) to him.
The vote of thanks was done by the Social Secretary, Comrade Sobayo Suliat on behalf of the Executives.
The executives also use same opportunity to visit the state leadership of the council. Remo North Branch Executives were received by the State Secretary, Comrade Akolawole Shoremi on behalf of the State Chairman, Com. Abduljabar Ayelaagbe who was on official assignment.
Com. Shoremi appreciate the good effort of Remo North Branch in recent time and admonished them to do more. He retirate that the State strength is a function of the Branch activities.
The visit also afforded Remo North Executives the opportunity to deliberate on Youth development programmes and capacity building with the State Secretary.
